My interest in design started as a child even though I didn't realize it at the time. I grew up around my grandfather's construction company Marcon in the Dallas, Texas area, and I was constantly helping my father in home remodel projects. We transformed the layout and design many times, including converting the garage into a studio, building a swimming pool, and even knocking out a wall to double the size of the primary bedroom. We also painted the walls and renovated the floors many times to keep up with contemporary trends.

After graduating from the University of Texas in 2007 I spent many years teaching and producing music in the Austin area. Since then I pivoted into the design world and fell in love with visualizing projects using CAD software. Like many in my field my first design was for my own home in Round Rock. My wife and I bought a real fixer-upper and gave it the full service with all new wood floors, molding, drywall and paint, siding, roof system, and of course a kitchen remodel.

I've been designing and building home remodel projects ever since.
